Norse Group has generated almost £3 million in new FM services across its partnerships with local authorities during the lockdown period.

The group’s joint ventures provide cleaning services, including specialist cleaning, for a wide range of education establishments and civic, public and private sector offices and buildings. Since March, despite the restrictions imposed by lockdown, over £1.2 million of contracts have been won.

The recently-awarded contracts, all for three-year terms, include a £180k agreement with Barnet Council for the cleaning of public toilets in the borough. This is an addition to the existing contract for the cleaning of Barnet’s corporate estate.

The Group’s catering services have also seen strong growth with £1.7 million worth of new and retained contracts with schools.

“With the Norse joint venture model incorporating profit share with the Local Authority partner, new contracts such as these generate vital additional income for the public purse,” Group Director Geoff Tucker said. “Over the last five years Norse Group has returned over £7 million to our local authority partners, and in total over £100 million to the public purse.”
