Norse Group partnerships with Local Authorities added more than £5m in new FM contracts during 2019.

There are currently ten Norse Local Authority partnerships around the country, from Devon to Barnsley and from Great Yarmouth to Newport, that provide FM services such as cleaning, security, grounds and building maintenance. These services provide employment for over 2,000 staff within Norse partnerships.

Clients range from education establishments, including Academies, housing associations and healthcare providers, as well as the private sector.

Norse Group Director Geoff Tucker said; “For Local Authorities, a key advantage of a Norse partnership is the ability to trade in the open market, and generate additional, much-needed revenue for the council involved through profit-sharing.

“This applies not just to FM, but also services such as school meals, asset management, waste management and transport.

“Councils across the country are seeing real financial benefits through these external sales, such as the £5m new FM business, won by Norse.”

Over the last five years Norse has paid over £7.5m to Local Authority partners in profit share.
