Norse CEO applauds strong growth
Norse CEO Justin Galliford was full of praise for the group’s performance as 2021/22 annual sales figures show robust corporate growth.
“We have added two new major local authority partnerships over the last 12 months, which, together with commercial sales growth, represent over £187m in forward orders, meaning our total forward order book is now worth almost £3billion,” Galliford said.
“This is in no small part down to the skills, commitment and positive attitude of our 9,500 strong workforce throughout a period of unprecedented pandemic pressures. They are a team which I am extremely proud to lead.
“The strength of Norse’s portfolio represents excellent long-term sustainability; the key to our ability to provide job security for our staff, cost-savings, efficiencies and our ability to invest in the future.
And, most importantly, this level of growth gives us the ability to return money to the public purse. All of our local authority partnerships are predicated on profit-sharing, and our ability to raise revenues in our partnerships through external trading means that our partners – and their communities – receive tangible financial benefits. It also provides long-term stability and security to the people we employ in these partnerships, and helps us to create jobs wherever we’re working”
Norse Group is wholly-owned by Norfolk County Council, and operates almost thirty joint venture partnerships with local authorities across the UK.
