MRW and Norse host discussion on local government challenges
On 6 December Norse co-hosted a round table event with MRW, the leading trade magazine for the waste and recycling industry.
Chaired by the MRW editor Corin Williams, as well as sector experts, there were several senior local authority officers present, to discuss the challenges facing local government.
These include severe financial pressure brought about by inflation and reduced revenues, a skills shortage, supply chain issues and a high degree of uncertainty about government strategy for waste and recycling – with new waste regulations about to be announced.
